THE BRIEF:
Take a walk on the path of furniture and lighting design/Explore the world of furniture and lighting design, and the procedure before, during and after the manufacturing process.
In collaboration with Hoi P’loy, the popular lighting company based in CPT/Cape Town, design, detail and build a freestanding light with an additional function of your choice. The manufacturing costs may not exceed R3000 and should stay within the 700mm (d) x 700mm (w) and 2000mm (h) size parameters. No more than 4 materials may be used and a minimum of 20% of your light must be made up of metal. The light must have a definitive concept that is taken across the entire design.
